Homemade cake for my birthday, babies first?
Anyone have any good homemade cake recipes? The simpler the better, but nothing a box. I'm trying to exclude as many preservatives as possible. screams meant baby 1st birthday, there is only one! lol
This is a moist cake chocoalte really delicious. I have included a filling and 2 differnt types of this cake frosting. It is also delicious with cream cheese frosting style. Creole Dry Cake Ingredients 4 cups AP flour 4 cups sugar 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 cup cocoa 1 teaspoon salt dutches Ingredients 2 cups butter 1 wet teaspoon vanilla 1 ½ cups melted butter 3 eggs 2 cups boiling water – DO NOT ADD UP TO FINAL 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. (300 degrees convection oven) 2. Prepare cake pan desired. Grease, flour baseline w / parchment. a. You can use cake release spray instead – flour added 3. Sift dry ingredients 4. Mix the wet ingredients 5. Pour the wet ingredients with dry ingredients. 6. Mix well 7. Add boiling water, mix, scratch and drop immediately into the mold (s) and bake baking time is approx. 30 min. Yields 3-9 "rounds Creole Cake Filling ½ cup heavy cream ¾ cup sugar ¾ cup raisins 1 cup nuts, boil for 1 minute and let cool. Pour over cake Creole Frosting (Ganache Style) 4 cups chocolate chips 1 cup heavy cream Heat cream, pour over chips and stir until melted. It can also be mixed in a water bath. Creole cake frosting (Fudge style) 3 cups chocolate chips 1 ½ cups sour cream mixture in double boiler until melted and smooth
