Unique Baby Shower themes and ideas?

I am planning a baby shower for my sister and I need unique baby shower themes. Something that is chic and modern. I've been in a couple of baby showers and they all have games – all the ideas of other forms of entertainment? No strippers!?!? LOL! The game becomes a bit boring and sometimes takes too long. Something fun for everyone !!!!!

How about an "Ode to the baby." Everyone writes a poem or reading to lymerick Mom to be and the better (either by vote or new mom) gets a prize. This could go well with a book shower where the gifts is a book and have a theme the book. You could make a scrapbook shower, if the mother is in that. Each person brings (or you could do in the shower – supply of materials, so that everyone has the same subject and goes on an album to play) a scrapbook page ready for pictures to be added and supply of a scrapbook to put them in. You could make a laundry / shower white. The decorations are drying and everyone put detergent, hamper, hangers and whites (sheets, bedding, towels, etc.) Go to ivillage.com for more ideas.
